摘要
神经退行性疾病是大脑和脊髓的神经细胞或其髓鞘的丧失所致的一类疾病,包括数十种,严重影响着人类的健康和生活质量。但是,目前可用于治疗神经退行性疾病的药物较少。丙戊酸(valproic acid,VPA)在基因转录和表达方面具有重要作用,并可通过多种机制发挥神经保护作用,因此,VPA成为近年开发治疗神经退变性疾病的热点。本文综述丙戊酸的神经保护作用,并以阿尔茨海默病和脊髓性肌萎缩症为代表介绍近年VPA治疗神经退行性疾病的研究进展。
Neurodegenerative diseases are the diseases caused by the loss of the nerve cell of brain and spinal cord or its myelin. There are dozens of neurodegenerative diseases seriously affecting human health and their lives. However there are few drugs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases at present. Valproic acid (VPA) plays an important role in gene transcription and expression and has neuroprotection function through various mechanisms. Therefore VPA has become a hot spot for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases in recent years. This paper reviews the neuroprotection mechanism and the research progress in VPA on neurodegenerative disease.
