摘要
在人类的文化心理中,空间关系是一种十分活跃的图式,是探讨人类认知奥秘的钥匙,也是把握社会、认识社会的重要基础,更是表达各种认知成果的基础。通过比较英汉维度形容词空间隐喻的表现特点,分析两种语言在空间隐喻层面的跨文化特征,并以此理析英汉两种语言思维方式和文化内涵的异同。希望借此加深对英汉两种语言词语搭配、语义引申及隐喻规律的认识。
Spatial relationship is a kind of highly active schema in the human cultural psychology, which is a key to explore the human cognitive mode. The spatial metaphor is the language extension on the basis of the cognition of the spatial relationship. It indicates that the spatial metaphor is the signifi- cant base on which the society is comprehended as well as the cognitive progresses are expressed. The paper analyzes the cross - culture features of the Chinese and English spatial metaphor of the dimension adjectives on a cognitive View, thus enabling us to get a deep sight on the difference of the cognitive mode and cultural connotation. Meanwhile, the study also deepens the understanding of the vocabulary collocation and extension of the word meaning as well as the rule of the metaphors between the two languages.
