摘要
公示语是人们生活中最常见的实用语言。公示语翻译体现了一座城市的建设风貌以及当地的人文素质和文化教育水平。但迄今出现的公示语翻译失误或错误比比皆是。本文依据大量实例对公示语翻译中的常见错误进行了归纳与分析,并且针对这些错误提出了公示语翻译应该遵循的基本原则。
On the Mistakes in the Chinese-English Translation of Chinese Public Signs and the Translation Principles Public signs are very common and significant in people＇s lives. The translation of public signs reflects the style of a city and local cultural qualities and educational level. However, there have been many mistakes or errors in the translation of public signs every- where. Based on a large number of examples of common mistakes in the translation of public signs, this paper gives some possible so- lutions to such mistakes and the basic principles of translation of public signs.
