In S. Beckett' s novel Molloy, Moran is initially a figure of the Symbolic Order; getting the order to look for Mol- loy, he begins to be crucified like Jesus. On the journey, his self gradually regresses to that of Molloy. Via their encounters with A and C, Moran and Molloy, though from separate narratives, form an upsetting mirror relation. In the author' s view, what Beckett' s novel shows is the complex reflections, in vague or dark mirrors, of the infantile subject' s identity defined by the family triangle.
