华裔美国作家水仙花以文学作品为武器匡扶正义,在其小说集《春香夫人》中重塑了华裔和女性的形象,对当时的种族主义和性别主义双重话语霸权进行了批判。她的批判带有鲜明的解构特点:通过消除二元对立和暴力破坏话语结构两个解构策略,颠覆了读者对于种族和性别认识的限制和偏见。
As a pioneer American Asian writer, Sui Sin Far justifies the images of Chinese Americans and females in Mrs. Fragrance and other stories, and criticizes the dual hegemonie discourses, namely the Euro-eentric racism and the male-eentrie sexism. A distinctive characteristic of her critique is the deeonstructive perspective. By eliminating the binary oppositions and wrecking discourse structure, she subverts readers'assumptions about racist stereotypes and bias against gender roles.
