摘要
1921年,郭秉文发起并创建的国立东南大学是中国第二所综合性大学,它与北京大学一起是当时我国高等教育的两大支柱。在郭秉文校长的治理下,东南大学在"科学"方面的实力位居全国各高校之首,其工程教育的标准、内容、方法、目标、实施、教学上的"选科制",以及研究、教授、推广"三结合"办学模式等都值得今人研究、借鉴。
In 1921, Guo Bingwen established National Southeast University, the second comprehensive university of China. She and Peking University were the only two national comprehensive universities which were the two pillars of higher education at that time in China. National Southeast University, under the leadership of Guo Bingwen, became a first - class university soon after its establishment. It＇ s worth pointing out that Southeast University was well known for it＇s teaching and research on science.Its running pattern deserves our study and research.
