摘要
作为近代西学第一人,严复介绍了西方的宗教思想,并在对世界宗教的介绍中突出基督教及其在华传教的历史。为了以教治教,严复不是像康有为那样彰显孔教与基督教的相同性,而是从不同角度突出中西之教的差异。严复还从教学相混、政教合一的角度剖析中国社会与西方的不同。通过对中国社会宗教状况的分析和保教与保种、保国关系的厘清,他寄希望于"自强保种"。
As the first man of whole disseminating the Western thinking, Yan Fu introduced the Western religion theory, and gave prominence to the Christian religion. For resisting the Christian religion, Yan Fu pointes out the difference between the Chinese religion with the Western religion. Yan Fu had analysed the difference between the Chinese society with the Western society. Yan Fu hoped that China would become strong.
