摘要
大学生学习评估是美国高等教育质量保障的重要手段之一。本文分别从评估的主客体、理论基础、具体内容和信效度等角度,对美国当前主流大学生学习评估工具进行了深入的分析和比较。研究发现,在高等教育质量问责的大背景下,美国研究型大学中的一些高等教育研究机构依托其强大的学术研究团队,纷纷参与大学生学习评估工具的研制和实施;纵观这些主流的学习评估工具,不难发现,以学生为主体、促进学生学习是其共同的价值取向,而学生发展理论则为设计这些学习评估工具提供了扎实的理论框架和基础,学生的背景特征、院校组织特征、学生参与经历、学生的发展和收获是这些主流工具频频涉及的内容。我国同行可以从中获取些许借鉴。
In the US,learning assessment is an important way to assure quality in higher education.The present paper compares and analyses several learning assessment instruments widely used in US universities,focusing on questions concerning who is to assess whom,what is to be assessed,as well as the theoretical foundation,validity and reliability of the assessment.It is found that,confronting with increasing demand for higher education accountability,higher education research institutes in many research universities in the US have began to development learning assessment instruments.Those learning assessment instruments share some common features,such as,striving to be student-centered,aiming at facilitating student learning,mainly using student development theory as theoretical framework,and usually focusing on topics such as student background,institutional organization,student engagement,development and achievements,etc.
