摘要
花园小径作为一种特殊的局部歧义现象,主要是由于词汇歧义和句法歧义导致的。本文对由词汇歧义导致的花园小径句的本质及影响因素的研究进行了归纳,并通过关联理论和层级假说对其运作机制进行诠释。
'Garden path sentence',as a special kind of partial ambiguity,is mainly caused by lexical and syntactical ambiguity.This paper tries to explore the nature and factors of the'Garden Path Sentence'caused by lexical ambiguity.Relevance Theory and Grad- ed Salience Hypothesis are used to interpret its operational mechanism.
