摘要 血管内皮钙黏蛋白(vascular endothelial cadherin,VE-cadherin)是血管内皮细胞表面特异性表达的一种跨膜黏附蛋白,介导相邻内皮细胞之间的黏附,在保持血管完整性、调节内皮细胞间通透性、白细胞外渗以及细胞内信号转导中发挥着重要作用。除黏附特性外,VE-cadherin还参与调节各种细胞内进程,如细胞增殖、细胞凋亡以及调节血管内皮生长因子受体的功能。因此,VE-cadherin为胚胎发育时血管发生和出生后血管新生所必需,并通过参与血管发生在动脉粥样硬化进程的多个环节发挥着重要作用。 Vascular endothelial cadherin (VE-cadherin) is a transmembrane adhesion protein of specific expression on vascular endothelial cell surface. It mediates the adhesion between adjacent endothelial cells. It plays important roles in maintaining vascular integity, regulating permeability between endothelial cells, leukocyte extravasation, and intracellular signal transduction. In addition to its adhesion properties, VE-cadherin also participants in regulating various intracellular processes, such as cell proliferation, apoptosis as well as modulating the function of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor. Consequently, VE-cadherin is essential for angiogenesis and postnatal neovascularization during embryogenesis. It plays important roles by participating in angiogenesis in the processes of atherosclerosis of various aspects.
