摘要
花园幽径句作为语言的一种局部临时歧义现象，近来已引起不少中外学者的关注。本文通过对中国外语学习者解读花园幽径句的访谈，呈现解读主体在解读过程中的综合认知能力表现。调查结果表明，解读成功者在解读中有效地调动了语言能力、感知能力、记忆能力和思维能力等各项认知能力，而解读失败者在决策判断、选择性注意能力等方面存在不足，基于此项研究本文构建了花园幽径句的认知加工模型。
Garden-path sentence （GP sentence） has commanded increasing attention from numerous scholars home and a- board due to its special local ambiguity of the sentence. Through investigating Chinese foreign language learners＇ interpre- tation of GP sentence, this study explores their integrated cognitive performances involved in sentence comprehension. The results reveal that successful interpreters make full use of language competence, perception competence, memory compe- tence and thinking competence while those unable to interpret GP sentence are deficient in the ability of decision making and selective attention. Based on these findings, this paper puts forward a new cognitive model of GP sentence processing.
