摘要
未来的优秀工程师应该具备大工程观,这既是科技发展的趋势、学科交融的必然,又是社会的需求。文章就什么是大工程观、为什么需要大工程观、工程教育如何体现大工程观展开论述,指出,树立大工程观是工程本身的需要,是工程孕育与成长的需要,是创新的需要,是卓越工程师培养的需要,归根结底,是涉及我国能否成为创新型国家的大事。认为,大工程观的培养,除了需要加强学生的科学基础,提高自主学习和实践的能力之外,还需要大工程体验、需要人文情怀以及宏思维能力的培养。
An excellent engineer in the future should have the view of ＂engineering with a big E＂,which is a trend of the development of science and technology,the consequence of the integration of disciplines,and is also the demand of the society.This article discourses what is the view of ＂engineering with a big E＂,why is such view needed in engineering education,and how to embody the view of ＂engineering with a big E＂.This article points out that establishing the view of ＂engineering with a big E＂ is needed by engineering disciplines, by the nurture and growth of engineering,by innovation and creativity,and by the training of outstanding engineers.Ultimately,such view is relevant to the major issue of whether our country could become an innovation-oriented country.In addition to strengthening students′ scientific foundation and their self-learning and practical abilities,the author believes,that cultivating the view of ＂engineering with a big E＂ requires students getting direct experience with megaprojects,fostering their sense of humanity,and developing their ability of macro-thinking.
