摘要
本文着重分析英语口语中的隐喻类型和隐喻特点,指出英语口语中的词汇隐喻以名词、动词、形容词和介词为主,鲜有出现韩礼徳等论述的名词化等概念语法隐喻。但是由于口语句式与句子结构短小、松散等特殊性,语气隐喻和情态隐喻在口语交际中也有至关重要的作用。口语隐喻使语言生动,表意简练,还可以委婉表述出说话人的用意。
Metaphoric type and characteristic in spoken English are analyzed,hich shows that the metaphor of noun,verb,adjective and proposition is the main part in spoken English and Halliday＇s nominalization appears rarely.But the short sentences and loose structure result in the significant role of metaphor of mood and modality in spoken English.Metaphors in spoken English make the language vivid and fresh,make the expression reasonable and elegant,and sometimes deliver the meaning politely.
