摘要
马丁.加德纳(1914—2010)是20世纪著名的数学科普作家,1957年在《科学美国人》开辟"数学游戏"专栏,奠定了其数学传播大师的地位。他还钟情魔术,痛恨伪科学,在哲学、文学上也有所建树。本文阐述他的生平、卓越的数学传播成就和对伪科学的严厉批判。
Martin Gardner is one of the most famous popular science of mathematics in the 20th century.In 1957,he began writing a column called ＂Mathematical Games＂ in Scientific American,which has made him to be a great master of mathematics propagation.He also loves magic,hates the pseudo-science,and makes achievements in philosophy and literature.This paper reviews his life,outstanding mathematics propagation achievement and severe criticism of the pseudo-science.
