摘要
国内高校英语专业学生文体能力调查表明,实验班的成绩明显好于对照班,但总的说来,两班学生的文体能力都很薄弱,这也在一定程度上反映出国内同类高校英语专业大学生文体能力的实际情况。影响学生文体能力的主要原因在于文体学基础知识薄弱;对文体分析方法不熟悉;对文体学的重要性认识不足,文体意识不强。针对这些问题,我们提出了以下一些措施,如正确认识文体能力的重要性;开设文体学课程;把文体分析方法引入语篇教学中等。英语文体学有助于培养学生口头、书面语言表达能力,有助于发挥学生在教学过程中的主观能动性和创造性,有助于提高学生英语阅读、鉴赏能力。
The first survey in China of stylistic competence for college English majors shows that in terms of stylistic competence, the experimental class scores much higher than the contrastive class, but on the whole, the average stylistic competence is very poor, which in a sense reveals the status quo of the stylistic competence for English majors in China. The major reasons for this are students' lack of some necessary stylistic knowledge and their unfamiliarity with stylistic analysis. Some possible solutions are offered, such as fully realizing the importance of stylistics, introducing stylistic analysis into the teaching of English texts, fusing stylistic knowledge into other English courses, etc. English stylistics is conducive to improving students' oral and written performance, helping students give full play to their subjective activity and creativity, and improving their reading and appreciating abilities.
