摘要
"致中和,天地位焉,万物育焉",向来被解释为人参与天地万物创化的过程,然而这样一种创化论诠释将不得不面对两大困难,首先,唯物主义者会提出质疑:人怎么会有那么大力量影响到天地万物的创化?其次,天地位、万物育难道必须以"致中和"为前提吗?为此,分析了造成这些困难的症结。认为,要摆脱这些困难,对这句话就不能孤立地看待,而应将其置于整个文本脉络中加以理解。这样,就能认识到,这句话不是要表达人参与天地创化的思想,而只是对上文"中者,天下之大本也;和者天下之达道也"的解释,其语意重点是中和而不是别的。
"When equilibrium and harmony are realized to the highest degree, heaven and earth will attain their proper order and all things will flourish" has always been interpreted as the process of man' s involvement in the creation of everything in Heaven and Earth. But this interpretation will face two difficult problems. Firstly, the materialist would query "how a man could have the power to affect the Heaven and Earth?" Secondly, the equilibrium and harmony realized to the highest is or is not the presupposition of the Heaven high and Earth low? This article suggests that the sentence not be interpreted isolated, but be interpreted based on the whole context. After analyzing the commentary, this article suggests that the sentence is interrelated with the context, it is for the purpose of the sentence in front it, "equilibrium is the great root of the Heaven, harmony is the proper way of the Heaven. "
