摘要
正始玄学家的玄虚怪诞,激发了玄学内部反玄虚的思潮,该思潮与西晋重倡儒学之风相呼应,士人名教自然并重。这种风气强化了东汉以来文论求实诚、疾虚妄的倾向和尚通脱的风气,在西晋形成了追求省净和追求繁缛的两种文学倾向。西晋繁华过后,东晋冲虚玄淡的士风使得省净文风进一步发展,形成了清远、恬淡、简约的新风尚。
The excessively bizarre advocacy of mysticism by metaphysical scholars in China in the middle of the 3rd century led inevitably to the rise of anti-mystic thoughts within the metaphysical philosophy. These thoughts, coinciding with the re-advocacy of Confucianism during the Western Jin dynasty (266 -316) that paid equal attention to the man, the "norm" and the nature, highlighted the truth-seeking and vulgarity-free tradition in literary theory and practice since the Eastern Han dynasty (25 -220), and contributed to the sha- ping and prosperity of the two opposite pursuits in literature - for intricateness and for terseness respectively - in the Western Jin. Later, the Eastern Jin dynasty (317 -420) witnessed the prevalence of literary terseness among scholars as a result of the predominant indifference to earthly fame and profit, which marked the debut of a new literary fashion characterized by peace, tranquility and conciseness.
