摘要
网语是网络虚拟交际环境下的特殊符号系统,它能够超越时空、民族与国界的限制,将其所指称的概念与意义传递于网民的大脑之间,进而影响到网下人们的生活语言和文化意识。网语符号的能指和所指之间的关系既具任意性又具可论证性。网语得以进化并广泛流行,模因的力量功不可没。模因是文化传递单位,通过模仿而传播,网语本身也是模因。本文从符号学的角度,结合模因论的相关理论,探析网语符号及网语模因的共通之处,以期为网语研究提供新的视角。
The popularity of Intemet communication displaying features of virtual reality has spawned an unique semiotic system netspeak, which signifies its concept and meaning as well as spreading them from brain to brain without respecting space-time, ethnic, and national boundaries. Netspeak is well developed so much so that many of it has penetrated into the fabrics of people＇s daily life. The relationship between the signifier and the signified in netspeak signs is arbitrary on one hand and motivated on the other hand. The evolution and worldwide prevalence of netspeak can be attributed to memes. Memes are cultural transmission units which propagate themselves in the meme pool via a process called imitation. Netspeak signs are also memes. The present article discusses the commonness of netspeak signs and netspeak memes from the double perspectives of semiocitcs and memetics, in hopes of shedding new light on the study of netspeak.
