摘要
传统上,学者们一般在句法层面上对英语联加状语进行研究,从语篇层面上研究联加状语也引起了语法家们的注意。联加状语在语篇构建过程中具有以下几种功能:衔接功能,接续功能,限定功能和预示功能。联加状语的多功能性使得语言使用者能够做出灵活的选择,从而满足交际需要。
Traditionally, research on English conjuncts has generally been done syntactically. Attention has been also paid to the study of conjuncts at the textual level. Conjuncts, in constructing a text, play such roles as cohesion, continuation, constraint and presupposition
