摘要
以言语交际中的话语标记语and为研究对象,探讨了它在会话互动中的语用功能,比如,语篇构建功能,延缓标记功能,话轮接续功能,试探、商榷功能,及其语用模糊性,指出,在言语交际中,必须顺应其语境特征才能达到更好的交际。
This paper focuses on the English conjunction ＂and＂,probing into its rich pragmatic functions as a discourse marker in verbal communication.After a close analysis of the collected data in English it is found that ＂and＂ can be used as a marker of building a text,a delay marker,a turn-holding marker,and a consultation marker in different contexts.Also,＂and＂ can be seen as a fuzzy word in English,whose meaning heavily depends on contexts.
