摘要
文章回溯了主位推进模式和ICM理论对语篇连贯的研究,并据此提出ICM可以有效弥补主位推进模式的不足,从人的认知心理的角度解决主位推进模式无法解释的现象。对语篇连贯的分析应当兼顾形式与心理,应当从功能与认知两个角度出发。
This paper traces back Thematic Progression Pattern and ICM approaches to discourse coherence, trying to explain the hard-tackled nuts for Thematic Progression Pattern from a cognitive-psychological perspective. It is hence proposed that ICM theory can serve as a supplement to Thematic Progression Pattern. The analysis of discourse coherence should give consideration to both literal form and reader＇s psychology, and be conducted from functional as well as cognitive aspects.
