摘要
目的了解生源质量与医学生学习成绩的相关性。方法采用整群抽样的方法对273名医学生高考成绩与基础课学习成绩进行了相关性分析。结果不同生源地的医学生学习成绩没有差别。高考成绩与医学生的学习成绩有较弱的相关性,其中高考英语和数学成绩可能会在一定程度上影响医学生的学习成绩。结论现行的根据高考成绩选择医学生的方法发现被录学生学习医学的能力有限,需要进一步的改进。
Objective To investigate the correlation between the quality of medical student source and their academic performance. Methods We analyzed the correlation between the college entrance examination scores and scores of basic course examinations of 273 medical students selected by cluster sampling. Results No significant difference was found in the academic performances of the medi- cal students from several regions. There was a weak correlation between the college entrance examination scores and scores of basic medical course examinations ( r = 0.225, P 〈 0.001 ). English and mathematics scores at the entrance examination might affect the medical students' performance at basic course examinations to a certain extent. Conclusion The current method for selecting medical students based on their college entrance examination scores should be innovated because its capability to discover students' potential in studying medicine is limited.
