摘要
缩略语以简洁著称,符合语言的省力经济原则。英汉语言中都存在缩略语,且使用范围日趋广泛。隶属不同语系,英汉缩略语在各自构成方式和缩略结果等方面既有相同点也有差异。
Characterized by brevity, abbreviations conform to the linguistic principle of economy. They exist both in English and Chinese language and are widely used in various fields. As they belong to different language family, similarities as well as differences in the aspects of the formation and abbreviating products are worth noticing.
