摘要
历史比较法的基本原则不仅适合于印欧语历史研究,也适合包括汉藏语在内的其他语言的历史研究。本文结合印欧语、汉藏语来讨论历史比较法的基本内容和历史比较法的理论基础及缺陷。
The Comparative Method is a set of the most important techniques that permits us to recover linguistic history. The basic principles of the Method are not only valid in Indo-European linguistics but also valid in other linguistics including Sino-Tibetan. Therefore, it is important for us to understand the Method thoroughly. In this paper Ⅰ discussed three parts related to the Method. Part Ⅰ, The short history of Indo-European linguistics. Part Ⅱ, Steps in application of the Comparative Method. Part Ⅲ, Basic assumptions of the Method and its limits. In the end of Part Ⅲ, Ⅰ addressed some characteristics of the historical developments of East Asian languages.
