Experiment of Elector-Optical Characters of PDLC Films

摘要 设计对面/共面两用电极,制备聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)膜样品,用偏光显微镜观察液晶微滴形态,在不加电场的关态测试雾度,在施加电场的开态测试透光率随电压变化的电光特性。实验测得雾度约为H=93%,对面电极电场下透光率最大约为T=84%,共面电极电场下透光率最大约为T=82%。对PDLC膜电光特性给出新的认识。 In this paper, the opposite electrode and in plane electrode are designed, the polymer dispersed liquid crystal films are prepared, the state of liquid crystal micro droplet is observed by polarizing microscope, the haze is tested in off state without electric field is applied, the transmittance change with the voltage is tested in on state when electric field is applied. Testing results are the haze is large than 95%, the transmittance is large than 85% with the opposite electrode and is large than 65% with the in plane electrode. A new recognizes to PDLC optical characters is obtained.
