High Effecient Software and Hardware Co-verification Platform for Cable Modem SOC Design

摘要 通过对基于龙芯一号CPU的双向有线调制解调器SOC的研究,利用软件仿真和硬件模拟相结合的方法,设计了一种软硬件协同验证平台TWCNP,可分别对EuroDOCSIS协议栈、EuroDOCSIS协议处理器、整个双向有线网络SOC等软硬件进行验证,并实现了验证和设计的统一.为了提高TWCNP的验证时效性,提出了一种基于TWCNP-OS的软硬件协同验证方法,缩短了开发周期,保证了SOC设计的可靠性. Co-verification is the key step of software and hardware co-design on SOC. After researching two-way CM SOC based on Godson-I CPU, a software and hardware co-verification platform TWCNP is designed through combining software simulation and hardware emulation technology, which is so functional that can co-verify EuroDOCSIS protocol stack, EuroDOCSIS protocol processor and whole SOC, unifies the verification and design. A software and hardware co-verification method based on TWCNP-OS is proposed to improve the performance and efficiency of co-verification, which shortens time-tomarket and guarantees the design reliability of SOC.
