摘要
文章探讨了中美两种文化有关时间的认知差异,指出"时间就是金钱"和TIME IS MONEY貌似相同,实则相差甚远,各自具有独特的文化属性。不同的文化价值观赋予了时间隐喻不同的文化内涵,形成了各具特色的"时间"文化隐喻。
This article explores the cultural differences of TIME IS MONEY in American and Chinese culture. It holds that although they have the identical appearance, the two metaphors have different cultural origins and characteristics. Cultural values, outlooks as well as the mentality contribute to the differences.
