The clause has the expression function of source text, which includes two aspects ： 1 ） clause restrains the word choice, and word choice facilitates clause organization; 2） clause restrains phrase making, and phrase making constitutes clause structure. That clause restrains the word choice and phrase making plays a major role in terms of the expression function, while that word choice facilitates clause organization and phrase making constitutes clause structure, a minor role.
