从口译会场人员看口译质量的一项实证研究

摘要 本文研究的会场人员含口译使用者(发言人和听众)与译员。借助实证研究手段,文章对两组不同类型会议的口译使用者就口译质量的期望和态度,发言人、听众和译员对译员角色的看法进行调查,研究结果显示:会议类型不同,且分别以双语者为主体和以单语者为主体的口译使用者对口译完整性、流畅性和术语准确性等方面的期望和态度有较明显差异,口译使用者中的发言人与听众和译员本身对于译员角色的观点也不尽相同。这一结果表明:译员在口译时应该根据会议特征调整口译策略,并积极主动地与发言人和听众进行沟通,从而尽可能地提高口译质量。 The paper conducts an empirical study of a questionnaire survey to delegates of an economic conference and a teaching conference, followed by face to face in-depth interviews. The result shows that two different groups of interpretation users (bilinguals vs. monolinguals) have different attitudes and expectations towards such factors as completeness, fluency and terminology etc. The speakers, interpreters and listeners do not agree on the interpreter's role, either. Therefore it is suggested interpreters adjust their interpretation strategies to suit different types of conferences and different users in order to produce better interpretation quality.
