摘要
被当今国人忽视的英国作家米尔恩的文学成就远在一般作家之上,他的散文《橘颂》和屈原的《橘颂》虽同为颂橘,但在内容与形式以及主题思想和写作风格上却明显不同,通过对两篇《橘颂》在上述诸方面的比较分析,揭示了中英乃至东西方在文人、文学和文化传统上存有显著差异。
The literary achievements of the British writer A. A. Milne, who is not duly valued in China, are actually far above the average. His essay Golden Fruit reminds the reader of Qu Yuan＇s poem Ode to the Orange, as both are singing praises of the orange. However, the two have difference in terms of their content, form, themes and styles. And comparative analyses of these aspects help to illustrate the significant differences in terms of characteristics of literators, literary norms and cultural traditions between China on the one hand, and Britain and the West on the other hand.
