摘要
大学校长对于办好一所大学是至关重要的,说他们是大学灵魂式的人物一点也不夸张。那么,什么样的人才能胜任大学校长的工作呢?一个大学校长需要具有多方面的素养,但他们必须是教育家。然而,这个问题在我国并没有得到真正的解决,主要表现在选拔大学校长的标准掌握不当,遴选大学校长的方法不正确,大学校长的工作也不到位。因此,本文将就什么是教育家,大学校长为什么必须是教育家,大学校长怎样才能成为教育家等问题发表一些不成熟的看法,以引起教育界和国家组织人事部门对这个问题的重视,转变陈旧的观念,尽快地使我国大学校长遴选工作走向正确的方向上来。
The president is very important to a university, and he is said to be at least the key person in the university. What kind of person can be competent for the position of university president？ A university president needs many kinds of accomplishment, but he must be an educationalist. However, in China, this problem has not been totally solved yet due to improper principles of selecting university presidents, improper methods of selection and insufficient tasks of university president. Therefore, this paper discusses what an educationalist is, why the university president should be an educationalist and how he could become an educationalist so as to attract the attention of education community and state organization ＆personnel departments concerned. It is hoped that they will change the old concept and push the selecting work of university presidents in the correct way.
