The author considered that partly open-book examination can reduce the burden of rote memory, improve the students' initiative and consciousness for studies, and have trained the students' abilities to think, analyze and resolve problems independently. But partly open-book examination can also result in some misunderstandings of students, so these students may have lucky mentality for open-book examination.
