摘要
目的探讨转化生长因子β1(TGF-β1)与老年男性骨质疏松症的相关性。方法测定老年男性骨质疏松组(36例)与年龄相匹配的对照组(40例)的血清TGF-β1水平及其他生化指标,同时用双能X线骨密度仪测定腰椎及股骨的骨密度及骨矿含量。结果骨质疏松组的腰椎、股骨各个测量部位的骨密度与对照组比较,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。老年男性骨质疏松组TGF-β1含量明显低于对照组[分别为(9.82±6.15)ng/ml和(17.29±7.83)ng/ml,P<0.05]。而血钙、血磷、血碱性磷酸酶水平在2组间差异无显著性。骨质疏松组与对照组的腰椎、股骨各个测量部位的骨密度及骨矿含量均与血清TGF-β1呈正相关,而与血钙、血磷、血碱性磷酸酶水平无关。结论血清TGF-β1水平与骨密度及骨矿含量具有一定的相关性,测定血清TGF-β1水平有助于老年男性骨质疏松症的诊断。
Objective To investigate the relationship between the serum level of transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1 ) and osteoporosis in male elderly patients, Methods The serum level of TGF-β1 and other biochemical parameters were measured in 36 old male osteoporotic patients and 40 male controls, Meanwhile, the bone mineral density(BMD) at lumbar spine and left hip were measured in each subject by DEXA. Results The BMD of lumbar spine and left hip in elderly osteoporotic group was much lower than that in control group, And the level of TGF-β1 in elderly osteoporotic group(9. 82 ± 6. 15 ng/ml) was significantly lower than that in controls ( 17. 29 ± 7. 83 ng/ml ) ( P 〈 0. 05 ), There were no significant differences in the serum level of calcium,phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) between the two groups. In both control and osteoporotic group, the BMD of lumbar spine and left hip was positively related to the serum level of TGF-β1 and had no relationship with the levels of serum calcium, phosphorus and ALP. Conclusions Low level of TGF-β1 is associated with low BMD in elderly males. Low level of TGF-β1 may be an important risk factor for osteoporosis in the male elderly.
