摘要
王国维"一代有一代之文学"说是对中国历代文学的总体进程和文学史规律认识的集大成的观点,近年学界不断对这一学说的外延和内涵进行深入研究,亦取得了不少的成果;但对这一重要理论资源中所包含的"时代精神"要义研究得很不够。"时代精神"应是成就一代文学之胜的重要因素。
Wang Guowei＇s theory that every age has its literature sums up the ideas of various ages about the general progress of Chinese literature and law of the development of the Chinese literary history. Profound researches about the extension and intension of the theory over these years turn out to be fruitful. However, all of them fail to grasp fully the gist of the spirit of the age reflected in the theory, which, to the author, is an essential factor contributing to the prosperity of literature of an age.
