摘要
笔者对两组英语专业学生进行了12周的阅读词汇学习试验,结果发现:通过多情景阅读加练习与单一情景重复阅读加练习试验,5000和3000词汇水平学习者在低频生词接受水平上没有明显差异;而在词汇产出水平都呈现显著差异。数据显示,5000词汇量及以上学习者方可通过大量阅读学习低频生词。相反,则最好采用单一篇章重复阅读法。
A 12-week experiment reveals that in the second language vocabulary learning, gains for the subject of 5, 000 vocabulary size from the Extensive Reading Plus Group are significantly higher than the paired subject from the Single-Context Reading Plus Group. However, it is not guaranteed for the subject of 3, 000 vocabulary size to acquire satisfactory new vocabulary knowledge after the extensive reading plus treatment.
