摘要
翻译不是在真空中进行,它必然是一系列权力关系的产物。从某种意义上说,翻译与暴力紧密相连。翻译的暴力尤其体现在对属下话语的处理上。属下话语中言说的痛苦最容易被翻译的暴力所荡平。在揭示翻译暴力方面,翻译批评有着巨大的用武之地。
Translation is a product of power relations instead of being carried out in a vacuum, and thus the process of translation can be better viewed as an act of violence, which is especially manifested in handling subaltern discourses. Translation criticism is helpful for bringing to light the invisible violence of translation.
