摘要
基本范畴词是人们认识世界的基石,在其基础上人们通过隐喻来认知更抽象的概念和事物;多义词是对世界的概念化达到一定阶段的结果,其义项之间是通过特定的隐喻机制联系起来的;人类共同的心理和物质基础,在知识上的反映就是文化共核词,作为人类共有的一种思维方式和认知功能,隐喻在学习者学习文化共核词方面具有不可替代的作用;习语不是一种“死隐喻”,相似性的习语在英语学习者的学习过程中会产生正迁移。
With the help of metaphors, men cognize the more abstract concepts and things based on their basic category vocabulary, the cornerstone through which men recognize the world. As a result, men conceptualize the world in a certain period, and the items of polysemy are connected by particular metaphorical devices. The reflection of knowledge of men ' s shared psychological and material bases is the co - core of cultural vocabulary. As the shared way of thinking and cognitive function, metaphor plays a critical role in learners' study. Idioms are not a kind of dead metaphor, and similar idioms can produce positive transition in learners' study.
