摘要
文章论述了翻译忠实标准在翻译理论中的历史地位,进一步从各种角度论述了传统翻译忠实标准的局限性,从多元系统理论和目的理论的角度论述新时期翻译“忠实”标准的演变。指出忠于原文不是唯一的标准,译者的根本任务是要达到翻译的目的和任务。
This article first discusses the historical position of faithfulness principle of translation in traditional translation theory and then the limitations of it from different aspects. In modem times, Polysystem theory and Skopos theory have greatly developed the faithfulness principle of translation , thus being faithful to the original is trot the only one criterion. The main task of a translator is to achieve the goal and accomplish the mission of translation.
