摘要
通过访谈研究,本文旨在了解目前我国高校英语教师信念的基本特征,阐释了教师信念中潜在的语言观如何导向教师选择教学途径、影响其课堂教学。本文指出,教师信念是一个开放的系统,遇到教学实际中出现的问题和挑战,通过自我反思、同事互动和师资培训等途径,教师信念能够进一步得到扩充和更新。
This study aims to investigate English teachers' beliefs at tertiary level in China by exploring how their beliefs, explicitly and implicitly, help them approach their teaching and affect their practices. The findings of this study reveal that teachers' beliefs were open-oriented on the whole and their beliefs could be refined and transformed through their on-going reflective thinking, peer interaction and relevant proiessional development programs.
