摘要
隐喻是人类基本的认知方式,不同的语言和不同的民族文化对隐喻的概念系统和意义有一定的影响。英汉语中教师隐喻意义大相径庭,但也不乏相似之处。其差异主要缘于东西方思维模式、价值取向和道德意识等文化的不同。但文化语言差异对隐喻概念系统的影响程度还有待进一步的探究。
A metaphor is a primary and fundamental cognitive mode of human beings. Differences between languages and cultures have great effects on the conceptual systems and the meanings of metaphors. The similarities and differences of teachers’ metaphors between English and Chinese are attributed to the differences between western and eastern culture including thinking models, values and moral sense. However, to what degree language differences affect the conceptual system of metaphors is not known to us, which needs exploring further.
