摘要
人物画可以算是中国画中历史最为悠久的画种，唐代就曾经是人物画成熟的第一次高峰，宋代虽然是山水画的天下，但也有大量人物画精品问世。元代以后，人物画似乎呈现出一种衰退的迹象，直到明初似乎并未有多少改观。在长达两三百年的明代，虽然没有象唐宋一样的大家，但也何一些画家在人物画的发展史上起到了承先启后的作用，直接构成了后世人物画发展的基础，本文要介绍的画家唐寅就是其中之一。
Tang Yin, self-regarded as the first talented and romantic scholar,is of uncommon brilliance and excellent character, dissolute andnoble and dignified. He is such an omnipotent wizard that he can paint everything, including landscapes, characters, flowers andeven feathers. His character works, especially the traditional Chinese painting of beautiful women, has been the treasure of thepaintings with its originality in theme, ingenious conception and quite beautiful brushes.
