摘要
18 6 8年的《蒲安臣条约》最值得注意的是其关于自由移民的条款 ,它在特定历史时期解决了美国西部大开发对劳工的需求。与此同时 ,《蒲安臣条约》在签订方式、条约内容与实际运作方面的特点 ,无可避免地为 19世纪后半期的排华风潮种下了隐患 ,并最终致使 1882年美国《排华法案》的出台。
In the Buringame Treaty of 1868,the articles concerning the issues of immigration freedom is the most eye-arresting one, which effectively addressed the urgent need of laborers for the western exploration in U?S at that particular historical period? However on the other hand, because of its problematic nature in endorsement, article and later in the practice, it has also planted the dangerous seeds for of the anti-Chinese movements later in 1850s,and finally gives birth to the Exclusion Act of 1882
