摘要
谭恩美是近几年来一位受人瞩目的华裔小说家。身处中美文化的交叉点上,她以深切的体会、独具特色的艺术手法创作了《喜福会》这部小说。《喜福会》中塑造的第二代华裔女儿,因为生于美国、长于美国,她们在母亲面前都或多或少存在着优越感,同时因为迷失了自身的文化身份,也都不同程度存在着自卑,但是自卑只是这些华裔女性在种族歧视下产生的表面失衡,究其深源,则是族裔身份的迷失。处于夹缝状态的华裔女儿最终在母亲的鼓励下走出自卑,实现了自我认同。
Tan Enmei is an outstanding Chinese-American novelist in recent years.
