20世纪二三十年代,“儒者基督徒”范子美探寻基督教本真和中国文化的精髓,会通基督教与中国文化,论证两者会通的可能性与必要性,提出在中国社会和文化语境中认识“中国的耶稣”,发扬东方文明和基督教合作,建设“东方的基督教”,共造世界的和平大同。在他的著述中,从构思、立意、题材、内容都力图贯彻这一认识,留下了熔基督教思想与中国文化于一炉的典范。在建设本色基督教,基督教融合于中国社会的实现途径问题上,范子美对祭祖、基督教礼仪与中国古礼的探讨,认为遵循清洁高尚的纪念祖宗仪式,中国基督教徒可以作敬祖的子孙。范子美会通基督教和中国文化的事业,有待来者继承与发展。
In the 1920s and 1930s,FAN Zimei,a“Confucian Christian”,seized the true essence of Christianity and Chinese culture and looked for the common point between Christianity and Chinese culture.He demonstrated the possibility and necessity of the two,put forward to understand Chinese Jesus in the Chinese social and cultural context,carry forward the cooperation of Oriental civilization and Christianity,build Christianity in the East,and create a peaceful harmony in the world.In Fan Zimei’s article,he tries to implement the idea of this understanding,leaving a model of melting Christian ideas and Chinese culture.On the construction of authentic Christianity and the integration of Christianity into Chinese society,Fan Zimei discussed ancestor worship,Christian etiquette and ancient Chinese rites,and believed that Chinese Christians could follow the clean and noble memorial ceremony to be descendants of their ancestors.Fan Zimei has the cause of Christianity and Chinese culture to be inherited and continued.
