摘要
作为大学英语教学改革的重要部分,近年来许多大学开设了学术英语课程,但大部分学术英语教学聚焦学术英语阅读与写作,针对本科生学术交际能力培养的学术英语听说课程并不多见。本文结合作者所在的西安交通大学学术英语听说课程的教学实践,重点讨论学术英语听说课程教学模式的探索。该课程整体设计以产出导向法及能力递进式项目教学法为理念,致力于消除学生开展学术听说任务初始阶段的各种困难。该课程已经上过两轮,切实提高了学生的口头学术交流能力。
As part of college English teaching reform,many academic English courses have been provided in colleges and universities in recent years.However,most of them have focused on academic English reading and writing.Few attempts are seen on academic listening and speaking,especially those to develop the undergraduates’ability to communicate in international academic contexts.This paper introduces an exploration of integrating the Product-Oriented Approach and Project-Based Learning in the teaching of the Academic English Listening and Speaking at Xi’an Jiaotong University.The teaching design was developed in order to ease the difficulty that students usually encounter at the initial stage of carrying out a new task.This course has been conducted for two rounds and has helped students develop the communication skills in international academic settings.
