摘要
在新财经教育理念和大学英语教学改革的双重驱动下,笔者所在的学校尝试开设具有财经类院校特色的专门用途英语(English for specific purposes,简称ESP)课程,但教学效果并不理想。本研究旨在通过一学期的教学实践,检验“产出导向法”在“通用商务口语”课程教学中的有效性,探索通用商务英语教学模式。研究发现,把该校实施的新财经场景融入商务口语教学中能提高学生参与热情,教师按照驱动—促成—评价的教学流程可以帮助学生从词汇、语篇、交际效果等层面提升商务口语产出能力。本研究是新财经背景下大学英语教学改革的积极尝试,为实践大学英语ESP化提供了具体的做法。
Driven by the concept of new financial education and the reform of college English teaching,the university in question has tried to offer ESP courses with specific characteristics of financial colleges and universities.This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Product-Oriented Approach(POA)in the General Business English Speaking(GBES)course and explore its teaching mode through a semester of practice.The study has found that incorporating new financial scenarios into the GBES course can increase student engagement;the POA approach improves students’business speaking skills,including vocabulary,pragmatics,and communication.This study attempts to reform the teaching of College English in the context of the new orientation of financial education and provide concrete practices for implementing ESP programs.
