摘要
作为网络群体性暴力,社会性死亡是做人道德机制与网络传播技术融合产生的社会排斥过程和结果。社会性死亡始于生活事件被大众做人道德叙事化,继而开启道德正义零和机制,进入网络传播领域,对相关越轨者或当事人进行道德审判,掀起运动式的社会排斥,最终汇聚成难以控制的数字化正义“洪流”。社会性死亡的道德叙事由追求做人道德正义、获取惩罚授权和获得评判关注等三种主要传播动机混合驱动,表现出“圈层式”“点爆式”和“传递式”等传播特征,运作出围观“吃瓜”、言语攻击和身份曝光三种暴力形式。在社会性死亡运作过程中,网民大众深受人情网络与做人道德的塑造,不是勒庞笔下完全非理性的群氓,而是表现出丰富的个人利己动机和策略。
As incidents of online mass violence,social death is a process and result of social exclusion produced by the fusion of the moral mechanism of being human and the technology of online communication.Social death begins with the moral narrativization of life events by popular being human morals,which opens up a zero-sum mechanism of moral justice and then enters the realm of online communication and moral judgement of the transgressors or parties involved,setting off a campaign of social exclusion that eventually converges into an uncontrollable torrent of digital justice.The moral narrative of social death is driven by a mixture of three main communication motives,including the pursuit of moral justice as a human being,obtaining the authorization to punish and gaining judgmental attention,exhibits circling,point-blasting and passing communication characteristics,and operates in three violent forms:spectatorship,verbal attacks and identity exposure.In the operation of social death,the netizen public is deeply shaped by renqing networks and the ethics of being human,not Le Bon,s totally irrational hooligans,but the richness of personal self-interest motivations and strategies.
