Therefore, it is necessary toelucidate the influence of the preparation process and post-treatment conditions on thephoto-catalytic activity and surface microstructures of the films. This review deals with thepreparation of TiO_2 thin film photo-catalysts by wet-chemical methods (such as sol-gel,-reversemicellar and liquid phase deposition) and the comparison of various preparation methods as well astheir advantage and disadvantage. Furthermore, it is discussed that the advancement ofphotocatalytic activity, super-hydrophilicity and bactericidal activity of TiO_2 thin filmphotocatalyst in recent years.展开更多

It was found that the addition of SiO2 to TiO2 thin films can suppress the grain growth of TiO2 crystal, increase the hydroxyl content on the surface of TiO2 films, lower the contact angle for water on TiO, films and enhance the hydrophilic property of TiO2 films. The super-hydrophilic TiO2/SiO2 photocatalytic composite thin films with the contact angle of 0((o) under bar) are obtained by the addition of 10%-20% SiO2 in mole fraction.展开更多

The grain size, crystal size, and crystallinity of ZnWO4 particles increased with the increase of calcina- tion temperature and prolonging calcination time. The photocatalytic activity was measured for the degradation of an aqueous Rhodamine-B(RhB) solution and gaseous formaldehyde(FAD). With the increase of calcination temperature and time, the activities increased to a maximum and then decreased. ZnWO4 photocatalyst prepared at 550℃ for I0 h showed the highest activity, which is similar to the photocatalytic activity of P25TiO2 for the degradation of gase-ous FAD. High crystallinity, large surface area, and good dispersion are responsible for the high photocatalytic per- formance of the prepared ZnWO4.展开更多

The recycled cobalt oxalate was used to synthesize nano-Co3O4 anode material by sol-gel method. The samples were characterized by thermal gravity analysis and differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and charge/discharge measurements. The influence of molar ratio of Co2+ to citric acid and calcination temperature on the structure and electrochemical performance of nano-Co3O4 was evaluated. As the molar ratio of Co2+ to citric acid is 1:1, the face-centered cubic (fcc) Co3O4 powder shows the discharge capacity of 760.9 mA h g-1, the high coulombic efficiency of 99.7% in the first cycle at the current density of 125 mA g-l, and the excellent cycling performance with the reversible capacity of 442.3 mA h g-1 after 20 cycles at the current density of 250 mA g-1.展开更多

The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of the composite were characterized. X-ray diffraction diffusion (XRD) data and DSC-TG curves of the phosphor revealed that the SrAl2O4 crystallites have been formed after the precursor was calcined at 900 ℃ and to be single-phase SrA1204 at 1100 ℃. The SEM photographs indicated that the sample exhibited a universal flower-like morphology with crystallite size of about l-2μm. After being irradiated with ultraviolet (UV) light, the flower-like phosphor emitted long-lasting green phosphorescence with an excitation peak at 365 nm and emission peak at 500 nm which was ascribed to the characteristic 5d-4f transition of Eu^2+. Both the PL spectra and the luminance decay curve revealed that this phosphor exhibited efficient luminescence and long lasting properties.展开更多
