To facilitate the effect of utilizing games in primary school English teaching,four problems in current instructional practice have been identified by reviewing related literature.They are:1)inappropriate teaching mat...To facilitate the effect of utilizing games in primary school English teaching,four problems in current instructional practice have been identified by reviewing related literature.They are:1)inappropriate teaching materials;2)unscientific design of game teaching procedures;3)unstructured implementation process;4)Inadequate quality of teaching staff.Then,four specific countermeasures to remedy these problems have been proposed in detail,which include selecting appropriate teaching materials,rigorously designing game teaching procedures,organizing the class actively and developing the quality of teaching staff.This analysis will enhance teachers’awareness and competence of using games in primary school English teaching.展开更多
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the present situation of game teaching method in primary school,to find out the problems in the application of game teaching method and to forward the corresponding solutions.Fr...The purpose of this paper is to analyze the present situation of game teaching method in primary school,to find out the problems in the application of game teaching method and to forward the corresponding solutions.From the current development of English education,it has become a development trend to add games in teaching,Therefore,the paper advocates that English teach⁃ers in primary school use game teaching method to stimulate students’interest in learning spoken English.This thesis consists of three parts.Chapter one is an analysis the concept of game teaching method.Chapter two describes and analysis the problems in spoken English teaching in primary school.The final chapter puts forward some principles and measures to help primary school English teachers to improve students’spoken English ability.展开更多
