Buddhism and Taoism play an important role in the development of Chinese thought and culture, and together with Confucianism, they are called the “Three Religions”. Buddhism, as a foreign religion, also has a connection with local Taoism. Ziran, nature in English, has the meaning of nothingness and emptiness, movement and static cause and effect, and leisure. This article uses the concept of Ziran as a communication, and analyzes the plot, structure, and style of the The Great Sattva Sacrificing Himself to Feed Tigers mural through the interpretation of Ziran in the doctrines of the two.
